A Tribute to Fathers' Day: Daddy Loves You Too
o
Every Father's Day I remember an unforgettable experience that occurred when I was about four years old. I was sitting in a restaurant with both parents when my mother had to leave early. A few minutes later, missing her already, I began to cry. The owner of the restaurant, who was a friend of my parents, said something which I will remember the rest of my life. He said " Don't cry, Daddy loves you too." Daddy loves you too! This has stuck with me in more than words. It has been felt in the countless helpful deeds, performed by a father who anticipated when I needed help, and gave it, without my even asking. It was shown in advice and guidance in new situations, in silent non-intrusive monitoring of my physical, emotional, social and educational environment, always trying to ensure the best. My father's love was evident in his financial and intellectual support, in helping me achieve my career goals. I dedicated my book to him; this is especially important now, because he died six months ago. Yes, my late father got to see me published. He was eighty-eight years old when he passed away suddenly. I was with him when he died, visiting him in Las Vegas. He was looking forward to going with me to a television interview. He suggested lunch since we were both hungry. As we sat at the table, happily eating, talking about food and the upcoming interview, he suddenly said, "Jean, I'm going to faint. " I got up to help him stay in his chair, but he collapsed to the floor. At that moment, I knew it was over. I was so sure, because in all of my years, I had never seen my father completely collapse. Sure enough, although help came immediately, he could not be revived. He had wanted it that way, no artificial means. Fortunately that was not an option. His heart has simply slowed, then stopped. I had a few minutes with him afterward. I opened his eyes. He looked peaceful, rested, maybe slightly puzzled. No look of pain, fear or suffering. He had simply gone to sleep. We'll meet again someday. I see my father's eyes staring back at me every time I look in the mirror. I feel it in my quiet confidence knowing that through good and bad times my father always believed in me. Yes, Father's Day is a time for all daughters and sons everywhere to celebrate. Because without a doubt, Daddy Loves You Too.

Origins of Mother's Day
The idea of official celebration of Mothers day in US was first suggested by Julia Ward Howe in 1872. An activist, writer and poet Julia shot to fame with her famous Civil War song, "Battle Hymn of the Republic". Julia Ward Howe suggested that June 2 be annually celebrated as Mothers Day and should be dedicated to peace. She wrote a passionate appeal to women and urged them to rise against war in her famous Mothers Day Proclamation, written in Boston in 1870. She also initiated a Mothers' Peace Day observance on the second Sunday in June in Boston and held the meeting for a number of years. Julia tirelessly championed the cause of official celebration of Mothers Day and declaration of official holiday on the day. Her idea spread but was later replaced by the Mothers' Day holiday now celebrated in May.
History of Mother's Day: Anna Jarvis Anna Jarvis is recognised as the Founder of Mothers Day in US. Though Anna Jarvis never married and never had kids, she is also known as the Mother of Mothers Day, an apt title for the lady who worked hard to bestow honor on all mothers.
Anna Jarvis got the inspiration of celebrating Mothers Day from her own mother Mrs Anna Marie Reeves Jarvis in her childhood. An activist and social worker, Mrs Jarvis used to express her desire that someday someone must honor all mothers, living and dead, and pay tribute to the contributions made by them.
A loving daughter, Anna never forgot her mothers word and when her mother died in 1905, she resolved to fulfill her mothers desire of having a mothers day. Growing negligent attitude of adult Americans towards their mothers and a desire to honor her mothers soared her ambitions.
To begin with Anna, send Carnations in the church service in Grafton, West Virginia to honor her mother. Carnations were her mothers favorite flower and Anna felt that they symbolised a mothers pure love. Later Anna along with her supporters wrote letters to people in positions of power lobbying for the official declaration of Mothers Day holiday. The hard work paid off. By 1911, Mother's Day was celebrated in almost every state in the Union and on May 8, 1914 President Woodrow Wilson signed a Joint Resolution designating Mother's Day as a national holiday.

Why do Men Cheat on Their Partners?
Are you a woman who suspects that your man is cheating on you? If you do, you may be interested in catching them in the act. But, first, you may have a number of questions. One of the most common questions asked by women who have been cheated on is "why do men cheat?" When it comes to determining why men cheat on their wives or their girlfriends, it is difficult to come up with an exact reason. Why? Because men cheat for a wide range of different reasons. For example, your boyfriend may cheat for one reason, but one another man may be cheating for a whole other reason. Despite the fact that it is difficult to determine exactly why men cheat, namely your man, there are a number of common reasons. These reasons, a few of which are highlighted below, may be the cause of your cheating husband or boyfriend. 1 -To Get Out of a Relationship What do you do when you decide that you went to end a relationship? If you are like many other women, you breakup with your boyfriend or ask for a divorce from your husband. For some men, this is a lot easier said than done. Those who fear breakups, often opt for cheating instead. These men often wish to get caught, as most women will not put up with a cheating partner. What does this mean? It means that some men use cheating as an easy way to get out of a relationship. Unfortunately, most men don't take the pain of a broken heart into consideration. 2 -Unfulfilled Desires Unfulfilled desires is another common reason why some men cheat. In these instances, men do not want to end their relationship with their girlfriend or wife. In fact, they may truly love their significant other, it's just that their desires aren't being fulfilled. All individuals, including both men and women, have sexual desires. If those desires aren't being met at home, a man may turn elsewhere. Aside from the sexual standpoint and the act of cheating, these types of men often have otherwise healthy relationships at home. 3 -An Improvement in Self-Confidence There comes a point in every woman's life when she looks in the mirror and thinks "what has happened to me?" Men go through this same experience. Whether it be increasing in age, a change in physical appearance, or a generalized decrease in self-confidence, many men are afraid of what they see or what they have become. These men often need an uplifting experience. Unfortunately, not all men opt for something adventurous like skydiving or rock-climbing. Many other men decide to have an affair. 4 -Convenience Unfortunately, many wives and girlfriends make the mistake of assuming that affairs are long-term term and last for weeks, months or years. In fact, a large percentage of men who cheat only have what is commonly referred to as one night stands. This is when they have sexual relations with another woman and return home to you, possibly never seeing that woman again. As for why men have one night stands, many do so because it is convenient and because they can. Also, in these types of situations, alcohol is typically a factor. 5 -Just Because It is important to remember that a man doesn't have to have a reason to cheat. There are some men who honestly don't care about who they hurt in the process. There are other men who simply just make a mistake. If you think that your man is cheating on you, it may be more important to focus on what you should do, as opposed to dwelling on why he decided to cheat in the first place. As highlighted above, there are a number of common reasons why men cheat. With that said, it is important to remember that men are not the only ones who cheat. Some women are just as bad. Don't let yourself become one of those women, especially if your only goal is to seek revenge.
